- Lawful Use: You may not use our services for any illegal purposes or activities that violate Austrian law or applicable local laws.

Baxi - Discord Bot
Additional terms that apply specifically when using the Baxi Discord bot and its dashboard.
- Using Baxi's moderation and automation features within Discord's Terms of Service.
- Configuring server settings, filters, and welcome messages via the dashboard.
- Reporting bugs or issues to us via support@avocloud.net.
- Compliance: You may not use Baxi's features for any purpose that violates Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
- Impersonation: Impersonating Baxi, its developers, or claiming ownership of the bot is prohibited.
- API Abuse: You may not misuse the bot's commands or attempt to disrupt its functionality through excessive requests or exploits.
Server administrators are responsible for configuring and monitoring Baxi's moderation tools in accordance with their server's own rules. Baxi's features are tools - their correct and lawful use is the responsibility of the server owner.
Log data collected by Baxi (chat filter logs, global chat message data, ticket transcripts) is automatically deleted after 30 days. For full details on what data is stored and how it is handled, see our Privacy Policy.
We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of Baxi. The availability of Baxi is not guaranteed on a continuous basis - periods of unavailability may occur. We reserve the right to exclude users or entire Discord servers from Baxi's systems at any time if they violate these rules.
Prism is Baxi's network-wide trust scoring system. It automatically assigns each user a score between 0 and 100 based on moderation events across all servers running Baxi. By using any server with Baxi, you acknowledge that:
- Your moderation history (warnings, kicks, bans, filter violations) contributes to a trust score that is shared across all Baxi servers.
- Users with a trust score of 30 or below are automatically flagged and blocked from Global Chat.
- Server administrators can view flagged users via the
/scan_userscommand. - Prism only tracks behaviour resulting in moderation actions - normal messages are never scored or stored.
Prism is strictly a moderation tool. It does not profile users, track activity patterns, monitor message content, or build social graphs. The only data Prism records are moderation actions (e.g. warnings, kicks, bans) and the resulting trust score. No behavioural surveillance or identity profiling takes place.
Trust scores recover over time through clean behaviour. You can opt out of Prism at any time by running /prism-optout in any server with Baxi. This is a toggle command - running it once opts you out and deletes your profile, running it again opts you back in. You may also request a copy or deletion of your Prism data by contacting us.
Global Chat is a cross-server chatroom connecting all participating Baxi servers. The following rules apply:
- Content Policy: All messages in Global Chat are filtered by Baxi's AI-powered chat filter at all times. Content that violates any server's moderation rules may result in removal and penalties to your Prism trust score.
- Shared Space: Messages sent in Global Chat are visible to all connected servers. Do not share personal information, NSFW content, or any material that violates Discord's Terms of Service.
- Access Restrictions: Users with a Prism trust score of 30 or below are automatically blocked from participating in Global Chat.
Baxi uses AI models (including our self-hosted Llama Guard instance) for content moderation and chat filtering. While we strive for accuracy, automated systems may occasionally produce false positives or miss certain content. Server administrators are responsible for reviewing moderation actions and adjusting filter settings as needed. AI-based decisions do not replace human judgement - they are tools to assist moderation.
Enforcement & Applicable Law
What happens when these terms are violated, and the legal framework that governs them.
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against any user or server that violates these terms. Actions may include:
- Issuing warnings
- Suspending access to services
- Permanently banning users or servers from Baxi
- Reporting illegal activities to law enforcement
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Austria. Any disputes arising from the use of Baxi or related Avocloud services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Austria, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
These terms may be updated periodically. We will announce significant changes via our Discord community at avocloud.net/discord and update the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of our services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Service Availability
Uptime expectations and what happens if Baxi is discontinued.
The availability of Baxi and the Baxi Dashboard is not guaranteed on a continuous basis. Periods of unavailability may occur due to errors, maintenance, or other unforeseen circumstances. We aim for high uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to any service.
Scheduled maintenance will be announced at least 24 hours in advance where possible. Emergency maintenance may occur without prior notice to address critical issues. Maintenance announcements are posted in our Discord community.
The decision to cease work on Baxi or take the bot offline can be made at any time. If we decide to permanently discontinue Baxi, we will notify affected server administrators via our Discord community and provide sufficient notice to allow configuration to be documented before shutdown.
